The park opened on September 24, 1964, during a period of rapid economic growth in Japan, marking the beginning of modern entertainment centers in the country. Since then, the park has regularly expanded its attractions and adapted to new trends.

The Goodjoba area introduces visitors to Japanese manufacturing processes through interactive exhibits and demonstrations of traditional crafting techniques. The different zones show how everyday products in Japan are made and invite hands-on participation.
