East Mebon, Hindu temple in Cambodia
The East Mebon is a large temple-mountain-like structure comprised of three tiers.
Constructed during the reign of King Rajendravarman, it dates back to the 10th century.
Originally dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, it reflects the rich religious history of the region.
Located in Siem Reap, it is accessible to tourists and part of the Angkor Wat temple complex.
Distinguished by its location on what was once an island in the East Baray reservoir.
