Bat Chum, Temple in Cambodia
Bat Chum is a small temple consisting of three towers, arranged from north to south.
The monument was built by Kavindrarimathana, an architect and Buddhist minister of King Rajendravarman, in the mid-10th century.
Reliefs at Bat Chum offer insights into the religious art and cultural symbolism of the time.
Located near the larger Angkor complex, it is accessible to tourists throughout the year.
Bat Chum is believed to be one of the first temples in which a small inscription relates to the 'temple's foundation by divination'.
