Dalseong Park, Historic park in central Daegu, South Korea

Located in the heart of Daegu, Dalseong Park spans 2.5 square kilometers with walking paths, ancient trees, and recreational spaces.

The park originated from an ancient fortress site dating back to 261 CE when King Cheomhae of Silla appointed Namagukjong as the castle lord.

The park features traditional Korean architectural elements, seasonal flower festivals, and cultural performances that showcase local heritage throughout the year.

The park includes dedicated spaces for exercise, children's playgrounds, rest areas, and an on-site zoo housing tigers, ostriches, and seals.

Within the park stands the historical Seochim Tree, planted during the Joseon Dynasty to honor scholar Seochim under King Sejong's directive.
