Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kražiai

The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Kražiai is a Catholic place of worship featuring neo-baroque architectural details set against white walls. Its facade is defined by two symmetrical towers that give the building its recognizable silhouette.

The current structure was built between 1902 and 1908 under architect Tomasz Żebrowski's design. This building succeeded several earlier chapels that had stood at different sites in Kražiai starting from the 15th century.

This church serves as the spiritual center for the local Catholic community and hosts regular religious services. Inside, religious artworks and furnishings reflect the deep faith traditions of the Samogitian region.

The church is open daily for visitors who wish to enter through the main entrance and explore the interior at their own pace. Those interested in visiting the bell towers should arrange a guided tour in advance.

The building incorporates design elements from five different predecessor churches that existed at various locations throughout the town's history. This architectural fusion makes it an unusual example of how faith traditions were carried forward across generations.
