Krāslavas Romas katoļu baznīca, Baroque Catholic church in Krāslava, Latvia
The Saint Ludwig Church features two tall towers flanking its main entrance, with ornamental details decorating the white stone facade and rounded windows.
Construction of the church began in 1755 under Italian architect Antonio Parako, replacing an earlier wooden structure that stood from 1580 to 1590.
Italian painter Filipo Castaldi created portraits of Count Constantine Ludwig Plater and Countess Augusta Plater, which remain displayed inside the church.
The church stands at Baznīcas iela 2A in central Krāslava, maintaining regular services and welcoming visitors throughout the year.
The church preserves relics of Saint Donatus, establishing Krāslava as the second most important pilgrimage site in Latgale after Aglona.
