Chișinău Circus, Soviet-era circus building in Chișinău, Moldova.
The circular structure features modernist Soviet architecture with a distinctive dome and contains an arena measuring over 40 feet in diameter.
Constructed in 1981 under USSR funding, the circus replaced an older 19th-century venue that had operated on Alexandru Street from 1870 to 1874.
Two large sculptures of smiling clown-acrobats, created by Matvey Levinson in 1988, decorate the main entrance as protected national monuments.
The renovated circus arena accommodates 300 spectators and presents performances featuring clowns, gymnasts, acrobats, and animal acts throughout the year.
The facility earned its architects the State Prize of the Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic and represents the largest auditorium in Moldova.
