Chișinău Zoo, Zoological garden in Chișinău, Moldova
The grounds contain more than 1,000 animals from different continents, including tigers, lions, zebras, bears, kangaroos, and numerous bird species.
The zoological garden started its operations in 1978, establishing itself as the primary facility for wildlife conservation and education in Moldova.
The facility maintains research programs and carries out educational activities for students to learn about animal biology and environmental protection.
The zoo remains open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with separate ticket prices of 30 MDL for adults and 5 MDL for children.
A central lake within the zoo attracts wild ducks and swans, which settle naturally on the water and small island throughout the year.
