Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos, Skopje, Eastern Orthodox church in central Skopje, North Macedonia.

The Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos is a three-aisled stone basilica featuring elaborate marble and wood carvings throughout its interior space. The structure follows traditional Orthodox design principles with ornamental details that catch the eye at every turn.

Building began in 1809 under Damjan Jankulov, and his son Andrey Damyanov completed the work after his father's death, with the church consecrated in 1835. The structure endured through different periods and underwent complete restoration in 2008 following earlier damage.

This building has been a gathering place for the local Orthodox community for generations, serving as a focal point for religious life in the city. Its presence shaped how people in the neighborhood practice their faith and marked important moments in their lives.

The church sits on the left bank of the Vardar River in the city center and is easy to reach on foot. Visitors should dress respectfully and be mindful that this is an active place of worship where prayers and services regularly take place.

Inside, the church preserves stone inscriptions that document its historical identity and show how its connections to different Orthodox traditions changed over time. These carved records offer visitors a tangible link to the building's complex past.
