Nativity of the Theotokos and St. Petka Church, Orthodox church in Ohrid, North Macedonia
The church features a three-aisled stone basilica design with a western extension and contains marble and wooden carvings on its interior iconostasis.
The current structure replaced a medieval church in 1809 when Ottoman authorities granted permission for construction, with final consecration occurring in 1835.
The church building housed a convent school in its courtyard that transformed into the Bulgarian Pedagogical School of Skopje by 1895.
Visitors can find the church at coordinates 41 degrees north and 20 degrees east, within walking distance from other religious sites in Ohrid.
Builder Damjan Jankulov began the construction but passed away during the process, leading his sons to complete the work under Andrey Damyanov.
