Khoit Tsenkher Cave Rock Art is a limestone cave with two main chambers located in the mountains of Khovd Province. The larger chamber features high walls and a spacious domed ceiling that creates an expansive interior for exploration.
The cave dates to the Upper Paleolithic period with rock art created roughly 40,000 years ago. Ancient people used natural pigments like umber and red ochre to paint these images directly onto the stone walls.
The rock paintings show animals that once roamed this region, including deer, antelopes, camels, and mammoths. Visitors today can observe how ancient people depicted the creatures they hunted and the natural world around them.
