St Augustine Church, Baroque church in Valletta, Malta.
The stone church features a symmetrical facade with paired columns, arched windows, and decorative elements characteristic of Mediterranean religious architecture.
The foundation of the church dates to 1571 under architect Girolamo Cassar, followed by a complete reconstruction in 1765 according to Giuseppe Bonici's design.
The interior contains a collection of paintings, including a 16th-century work by Mattia Preti depicting Nicholas of Tolentino in the saint's chapel.
Visitors can attend religious services, observe the architectural details, and participate in the Saint Rita procession through Valletta streets each May.
The church maintains original artifacts from its first construction, including an unsigned painting of Our Lady of Grace beneath the John of Sahagun artwork.
