The limestone Parish Church of Saint Mary features a cruciform plan with a dome, belfry, central aisle, and ten altars within its 31-meter length.
The construction of this religious edifice began in 1613 under architect Tumas Dingli and reached completion in 1624, marking a new chapter in Malta's architecture.
The interior contains sculptures by Tumas Dingli and Giovanni Attard, while the ceiling displays intricate frescoes representing religious themes and artistic traditions.
Located in central Attard at Misrah il-Knisja, the church measures 31 meters in length and 26.6 meters in width, accommodating numerous religious services.
The church remains one of only two structures that maintain Tumas Dingli's original Renaissance design, featuring Corinthian pilasters and a triangular pediment.
