Shere Hills

Shere Hills is a mountain range in Jos East that extends across the region and reaches an elevation of approximately 1,829 meters. The area features multiple hiking trails and distinctive rock formations throughout its landscape.

The mountain range emerged as a defining geographical feature of Jos East following the creation of Nigerian states in the twentieth century. Its prominence as a landmark for the region has remained unchanged since that time.

The best time to visit is from December to March, when dry weather provides safe conditions for climbing and outdoor activities. Marked pathways guide visitors through the hills and help with navigation.
