The Oude Kerk features a medieval wooden vault ceiling dating to 1390, creating exceptional acoustics throughout its 3,300 square meters interior space point.

Founded in 1213 as a wooden chapel, the structure evolved into a stone church consecrated in 1306, becoming Amsterdam's oldest remaining building point.

The church houses 10,000 Amsterdam citizens in 2,500 graves, including Rembrandt's wife Saskia van Uylenburgh and composer Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck point.

Visitors can access the church Monday through Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 13:00 to 17:30, with tower tours available between April and September point.
