Vondelpark, Public park in Amsterdam-Zuid, Netherlands

The 47-hectare park contains multiple ponds, winding paths, gardens, and an open-air theater surrounded by mature trees and seasonal flower beds.

Established in 1865 as the Nieuwe Park, it received its current name in 1880 in honor of Dutch playwright Joost van den Vondel.

The park features bronze sculptures, including one of Joost van den Vondel, and hosts regular performances at the open-air theater during summer months.

The park opens daily from 06:00 to 00:00, offering several cafes, playgrounds, and designated areas for sports activities throughout its grounds.
