Annemie, Historic windmill in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Annemie is a windmill in Eindhoven built on an artificial hill along Boschdijk street. The structure features sails that extend across its width, giving it the distinctive profile of a working grain mill.
The mill was built in 1891 by architect Antonius van Himbergen from Bladel and served the local community as a grain mill until 1957. After that time, the building transitioned to other uses.
The Netherlands government recognized Annemie's heritage value by designating it as a Rijksmonument national monument in August 1972.
The building is now in private ownership and serves as residential and office space, so it can best be viewed from outside. It sits along Boschdijk road and is easy to reach from the city center.
The mill features yellow-painted decorative details on the support beam heads and an inscription carved into the structure. These handcrafted touches reflect the careful artisanship of the era when it was built.
