Anton Philips acquired the land in 1912, transforming it from heathland into a forest, while his son Frits resided there from 1934 until 2005.
The estate represents the industrial legacy of the Philips family, who contributed to the development of Eindhoven through their electronics manufacturing business.
The municipality of Eindhoven purchased the estate in 2022 and plans to open it to the public as a city park in 2025.
The mansion contains special features including an embedded Bentley display, wine cellar, gentlemen's room, and dedicated fitness facilities.
