Borggraaf Castle, Medieval castle complex in Lottum, Netherlands.
The castle features four brick wings surrounding an inner courtyard, with a square tower added to the northeast corner during restoration.
Construction of Kasteel De Borggraaf began around 1550 and continued through the 17th century, with the east wing dated by anchors to 1555.
The interior preserves ceiling and wall paintings from 1885 with floral patterns, plus a 16th-century kitchen featuring oak beams and carved caryatids.
Visitors can explore the castle grounds through walking and cycling paths from sunrise to sunset, observing the exterior architecture and moat.
The castle retains two adjacent square cellars beneath the western wing, each containing four ribbed vaults supported by octagonal central pillars.
