Sint-Bonifatiuskerk, Alphen aan den Rijn

Sint-Bonifatiuskerk is a neo-Gothic church building in Alphen aan den Rijn that features three naves with contrasting vault styles. The main nave has a wooden barrel vault while the side aisles are covered with stone vaults.

Architect Evert Margry designed this building, which opened to worshippers in 1886 after extensive construction. The church was built during a period when the neo-Gothic style was spreading across the Netherlands.

The walls and pillars inside display Catholic paintings that reflect the neo-Gothic style from the late 1800s. These artworks give the interior a formal and reverent feel that visitors notice right away.
