Arsenaal, Historic arsenal building in Nijmegen, Netherlands
The Arsenaal is a well-preserved early 19th-century brick building featuring characteristic arched doors and windows with a traditional gabled tiled roof.
Originally constructed between 1820 and 1824 as an artillery storage facility, the Arsenaal was built on the site of the former Mariënburg monastery complex.
This Rijksmonument now serves as a cultural center hosting art exhibitions, workshops, concerts, and theater performances by local and national artists.
Located at Mariënburg 95 and Arsenaalpoort 1-12 in central Nijmegen, the building is easily accessible by public transport with nearby parking facilities available.
A passage was created through the middle of the building connecting Moenenstraat with Marikenstraat, enhancing urban integration and pedestrian accessibility.
