Paterskerk, Neo-Gothic church in central Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Paterskerk is a Neo-Gothic church in central Eindhoven with brick walls, slate roof covering, and mosaic brickwork in yellow pressed brick and natural stone. The structure follows a tripartite cross layout with five bays and side aisles.
Architects P.J. Bekkers and J.P.I. Hegener designed the church between 1897 and 1898. It was built as a religious structure for the Augustinian community in Eindhoven.
The interior displays Neo-Gothic artworks created by the Eindhoven atelier J. Custers for the Augustinian order between 1898 and 1918. These pieces shape the character of the worship space.
The renovated building accommodates about 1000 people for events and features modern light and sound systems. Parking with 24-hour access is available nearby.
The front portal features flanking chapels with hexagonal floor plans and towers topped by a gilded copper Sacred Heart statue by Jean Geelen. This statue is a defining feature of the building.
