Effenaar is a popular music venue in central Eindhoven with two concert halls of different sizes. The larger hall accommodates around 1300 people, while the smaller space holds about 400 visitors and hosts various music styles.
The building was established in 1971 inside a former linen factory and converted into a cultural event space. Between 2002 and 2005, it underwent extensive modernization by architectural firm MVRDV.
The venue hosted performances by notable artists including Bauhaus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Sex Pistols throughout its operating history.
The venue is centrally located and easily accessible on foot, with accessible entrances for visitors of all abilities. Multiple bars and a restaurant with seasonal offerings are available on-site before and during concerts.
The venue uses modern 5G technology to stream live concerts to remote audiences and provide them with a digital experience. This innovative feature extends the reach of performances beyond traditional physical spaces.
