Lichthoven, Modern architectural structure in central Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Lichthoven is a 23-story tower reaching 76 meters high in central Eindhoven, surrounded by seven smaller office buildings. The entire complex mixes student residences with office spaces and forms an integrated development next to the train station.
The site once held the main post office, which operated here until 2006 before the land was cleared for new development. Lichthoven emerged as a modern building project that reshaped the city area.
The Social Hub here brings together students from around the world, creating spaces where they naturally interact and share daily life together.
The building sits directly next to the main train station and is easy to reach on foot. Visitors should know that most of the structure is private residential and office space, not open to the general public.
The area was once a bland train station district that few people visited unless catching a train, until this project turned it into a place where people actually want to spend time. Combining housing and offices here brought the neighborhood to life.
