Dragonfly, Steel roller coaster at Duinrell, Netherlands
Dragonfly is a steel roller coaster at Duinrell amusement park that winds 361 meters through the wooded area on brown tracks. The ride reaches a maximum height of 15 meters and is supported by wood-style structural supports.
The coaster was manufactured by Gerstlauer and began operation at the park in March 2012. This addition expanded the ride offerings available to visitors at the time.
The design incorporates natural elements, with the track crossing over the Kikkerachtbaan roller coaster while maintaining forest integration.
Each train holds 24 riders across 12 cars with individual lap bars for safety. Operations depend on weather conditions, so check beforehand to ensure the ride is running when you visit.
The ride reaches speeds around 50 kilometers per hour and features a steep 97-degree angle without performing any inversions. This aggressive profile without loops makes it feel more intense than typical flat rides in the forest.
