Avonturenpark Hellendoorn

Avonturenpark Hellendoorn is an amusement park set within a forest landscape with more than 30 attractions, including roller coasters, water rides, and play areas for different ages. The site spreads beneath the trees, with pathways connecting various zones where visitors move between rides and entertainment.

The site began in 1936 as a simple tea house with playground equipment before gradually expanding. The transformation into a complete amusement park took place in 1978.

The park reflects Dutch traditions by welcoming families to spend time together outdoors and celebrating seasonal events throughout the year. The way visitors move through the forest setting and enjoy activities together shows the typical focus on leisure for all ages.

The park operates from April to October with parking available on the grounds. Multiple dining options and picnic areas are scattered throughout the site, making it easy for visitors to find food and take breaks.

An underground rat-themed roller coaster takes visitors through dark tunnels and creates an unexpected experience with its speed. This concept stands out because most roller coasters run in the open air.
