Kempkensberg, Modern architectural structure in Groningen, Netherlands.
The Kempkensberg consists of two merged towers reaching heights of 92 and 42 meters, making it the second tallest building in Groningen after Martinitoren.
Constructed in 2011, the Kempkensberg replaced four office towers from the 1970s and 1980s, taking its name from the hill that previously existed at this location.
The structure houses the Education Executive Agency and Tax Administration offices, while incorporating an extensive garden with 55,000 perennials of 200 different species.
The complex provides 2500 flexible workplaces and features an underground facility that accommodates 1500 bicycles and 675 cars for employees and visitors.
The building incorporates specialized windbreaks and multi-stem trees throughout its garden to manage the strong winds typically experienced near tall structures.
