Hooghiemstra is an eight-story building with renovated office spaces, art studios, and workshop areas distributed across multiple levels in central Utrecht. The rooms are used flexibly as private offices, dedicated workspaces, and collaborative areas for different tenants.
The structure was built in 1912 as an animal feed factory and designed by architect M.E. Kuiler with inspiration from French industrial architecture. Two floors were added in 1916 to accommodate growing production demands.
The building functions today as a meeting point for entrepreneurs, artists, and creative professionals who share workspace in a protected industrial setting. The mix of art studios, offices, and workshop spaces naturally brings people from different fields into daily contact.
The building offers flexible rental options for various workspace needs and sits in central Utrecht, making it easy to reach by public transport. The facilities support both individual professionals and small teams in their daily work.
The building preserves its original brick structure and industrial features from its early years, still visible throughout the renovated spaces. This architectural character makes working within this historical setting an everyday experience for all occupants.
