Herperduin

Herperduin is a nature area in Oss containing forests, wetlands, and sand formations that support diverse plant and animal life. The site features walking and cycling paths, seasonal accommodations ranging from camping to bungalows, and a swimming facility at its entrance.

The area developed through ancient geological processes that shaped sand dunes and forest patterns across North Brabant over thousands of years. These formations continue to define the landscape visible today.

This place reflects the Dutch tradition of outdoor recreation woven into the landscape itself. People move through the area on foot or by bicycle, watching wildlife while connecting with nature in an unhurried way.

The area opens for overnight stays from April through October with camping sites and bungalows available in different sizes for small groups or larger parties. Pathways are clearly accessible for walking and cycling in all directions across the terrain.

The site preserves ancient sand dunes that visibly bear the marks of wind erosion from past centuries. These formations offer a clear view of how natural forces have shaped the terrain over long periods.
