Sint Petruskerk

Sint Petruskerk is a neogothic church building with a cruciform basilica plan, characterized by bundle pillars, ribbed stone vaults, and ornamental window tracery. The structure displays the typical features of this architectural period with thoughtful proportions and decorative details.

The church was built in the 1870s in response to growing demand for places of worship in the region. The tower was added later and shows the ongoing development of the building complex in the following period.

The church is named after Saint Peter and shows architectural features influenced by other Dutch cathedrals. The interior with its vaults and pillars creates a particular spatial quality that visitors notice when entering.
