Krokskogen

Krokskogen is a large forest recreation area that spans across hills and ridges covered with pine and spruce trees. The forest network features multiple entry points with parking areas and remains active year-round for both recreational use and timber operations.

The area was shaped by the Ringeriksveien, a historic route from 1805 that connected Oslo to Bergen as part of the King's Road for commerce and travel. This old pathway reveals the forest's historical role as a passage zone for movement between major regions.
