Bauker, Heritage estate in Gausdal Municipality, Norway
The Bauker estate features traditional Norwegian architecture with a main building and two storage houses situated in the rolling landscape of Gausdal.
The estate gained prominence in 1791 when Captain Peter Christian Ring constructed the mansion, which received national heritage status in 1923.
The estate maintains two traditional Norwegian stabbur storage buildings from 1756 and 1865, representing local architectural techniques and farming practices.
Visitors can reach the estate through public transportation routes that connect to Gausdal Municipality, with regular services available throughout the year.
From 1876 to 1960, the estate operated as a tourist inn, hosting up to 70 guests and receiving gifts from poet Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson.
