Gamle Logen

Gamle Logen is an event venue with seven separate rooms spread across multiple levels in Oslo. The spaces accommodate everything from small gatherings to larger groups of several hundred people.

It was founded in 1836 as a Masonic lodge under Count Herman Wedel-Jarlsberg, with King Carl Johan present at its opening celebration. Since its founding, the building has maintained its role as a gathering space.

The building has drawn performers and artists from around the world throughout its active years. Its name reflects its origins as a Masonic meeting place, a past that remains visible in the space itself.

The venue sits roughly 150 meters from Oslo Central Station, making it easy to reach by public transport. It offers wheelchair access, facilities for people with disabilities, and parking for coaches and buses.

The building retains its original 19th-century architectural features while operating as a modern venue for today's events. This blend of old interiors and contemporary use creates a distinct character that visitors often notice.
