Innerdalshytta, Tourist cabin in Innerdalen Valley, Norway
Innerdalshytta consists of three buildings: Nyhytta, Gammelhytta, and Låven, offering accommodation and meals in the mountains of the Trollheimen Landscape Conservation Area. The facility features nine twin rooms with shared facilities and can welcome both small and larger groups of guests.
The oldest building, Gammelhytta, was built in 1893 and ranks among Norway's most traditional mountain cabins. For more than a century, it has provided shelter to many travelers in this remote valley.
The cabin serves traditional Norwegian dishes like Rømmegrøt and meatballs, reflecting the culinary heritage of the region. Visitors can experience regional specialties through meals that have been prepared here for generations.
The main building Nyhytta opens from June to September and provides meals with the option to order lunch packs for hiking. Access to the valley varies depending on the season and weather conditions.
During winter months, Gammelhytta remains accessible through a self-service system, allowing visitors to use the mountain cabin year-round. This arrangement lets hikers visit the cabin even during the cold season.
