Henson–Hizon House

The Henson-Hizon House is a two-story residence in San Fernando featuring traditional Philippine architecture with detailed facades and ornamental woodwork throughout. The interior spaces are generous and well-decorated, showcasing the craftsmanship typical of homes built during that period.

The house was built during Spanish colonial times and belonged to Saturnino Henson, who held the position of gobernadorcillo in San Fernando multiple times. It remains as evidence of how wealthy families lived and built their homes during that period.

The house displays the bahay na bato design with stone foundations and wooden upper floors, which reflects how people built homes during the colonial era. This combination of materials and craftsmanship is typical for residences that were common in the region at that time.

The building was recognized as a cultural heritage site by the National Historical Institute and receives legal protection status. Visitors should check opening times beforehand and dress appropriately when touring the property to respect its significance.
