The Pampanga Provincial Capitol features neoclassical architecture with columns, symmetrical design, and landscaped grounds covering twelve hectares of Silva Park.
The Capitol construction finished in 1908 after the provincial capital moved from Bacolor to San Fernando, marking a new administrative era for Pampanga.
A bronze equestrian statue of General Maximino Hizon, installed in 1919, stands in the Capitol grounds as a tribute from the Kapampangan people.
The building houses the Office of the Governor and multiple provincial government departments, serving as the primary administrative center for Pampanga.
In 1929, the Capitol grounds included a zoological garden with exotic birds and animals, becoming a stopping point for travelers heading to Baguio.
