Apalit Church

The San Pedro Apostol Church features Neo-Renaissance architecture with two symmetrical towers and a plain segmental pediment on its main facade.

The construction of the present church structure began in 1876 under Father Antonio Redondo and reached completion in 1883 with its towers finished in 1896.

The church hosts the annual Libad fluvial procession, established in 1844, where devotees navigate the Pampanga River to honor Saint Peter the Apostle.

Located along the Pampanga River, the church measures 59 meters in length and 14 meters in width, providing space for regular mass services and ceremonies.

The church holds a fragment of Saint Peter's bones, making it the only church outside Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome to possess this sacred relic.
