Immaculate Conception Parish Church, Catholic church in Tibag, Tarlac City, Philippines.
The Immaculate Conception Parish Church is a Neo-Romanesque church building in the center of Tarlac City, on the Philippine island of Luzon. Its facade is flanked by two three-tiered bell towers framing a central section with arched windows.
The church was founded in 1893 under Father Fernando Vásquez to serve the growing Catholic community of Tarlac. It remains one of the oldest religious buildings in the city and now belongs to the Diocese of Tarlac.
The parish serves as a central gathering place where local residents come for religious services and community celebrations throughout the year. People of all ages gather here to participate in devotions and festive processions during important Catholic holidays.
The church sits in central Tarlac and is easy to reach on foot or by jeepney from most parts of the city. Visitors are expected to dress modestly, with covered shoulders and knees, especially during services.
The building was put together using brick, mortar, and cement without any decorative stonework or added ornamentation. This straightforward approach has helped it hold up through decades of tropical weather and occasional seismic activity in the region.
