Casa Hacienda de Naic

Casa Hacienda de Naic is a large stone building with architectural features from 19th-century Philippine colonial times, originally serving as the administrative center of an agricultural estate. The structure displays typical characteristics of this period with thick walls and straightforward, functional design.

The building was constructed around 1830 by Dominican friars and served for many years as the administrative headquarters of an agricultural estate in the region. In 1897, the Naic Assembly took place here, where Emilio Aguinaldo formed his government during the Philippine Revolution.

The building reflects the agricultural heritage of Cavite province and originally housed overseers and workers of the Hacienda de San Isidro Labrador. The layout of its rooms shows how the plantation hierarchy was organized, with distinct areas for administrators and laborers.

The building is now part of Naic Elementary School and has been marked as a National Historical Site since 1998. Keep in mind that the grounds function as an active school campus, so access and visiting hours may be limited.

This building is the only surviving friar-administered casa hacienda in the Philippines that remains in active use today. This makes it a remarkable example of how historical structures can serve modern purposes.
