Naic Church, Diocesan shrine in Naic, Philippines
Naic Church is a diocesan shrine and Catholic parish church in Cavite province. The stone structure combines semi-Gothic elements with five altars dedicated to the Immaculate Conception.
Construction began in 1796 as a wooden church and was rebuilt in stone in 1835 under Don Pedro Florentino's supervision. This transformation made it one of the larger structures of its time in the region.
The church displays Spanish colonial religious architecture with elements still visible today. The building shapes the town's character and serves as a gathering place for the community.
The church is easily reached by public buses, first to Baclaran Terminal and then to Naic. Access to the grounds is free and visitors should wear appropriate clothing.
The church convent served as the residence of Andres Bonifacio in 1897 following the Tejeros Convention. The site held significance in the revision of the flag design during the early independence movement.
