The initial church structure, completed in 1689 by Father Francisco Albear, featured stone walls, molave wood, and a distinctive lime and pebble floor.
The parish dedicates its celebrations to Saint Christopher, with major religious ceremonies taking place on July 25 and December 26-27 each year.
