Socorro Water Towers, Historic water towers in Socorro, Quezon City, Philippines
The Socorro Water Towers are two concrete structures in the Cubao district of Quezon City, rising between 12 and 15 stories high. The base of these towers now houses local government offices, a covered basketball court, and a community daycare center.
These towers were constructed in the 1930s during American colonial administration and originally supplied water to the local population. They stopped operating in the 1950s and were eventually repurposed for community use.
The park built around this site functions as a gathering place for neighborhood celebrations and local events. Residents regularly use the grounds for community meetings and social activities throughout the year.
The structure is easily accessible and remains a central point in this busy urban area. Visitors can explore the grounds during daytime and see the various facilities located on the property.
The two towers differ in their proportions, with the second structure built one year after the first. These size differences remain visible when comparing the two constructions side by side.
