Pirak

Pirak is an archaeological site in Balochistan where excavations revealed settlement remains spanning several centuries. The excavation mound rises above the surrounding landscape near the Nari River in the region.

The excavations revealed continuous human settlement spanning nearly a thousand years during ancient times. French archaeologists conducted systematic investigations that documented this extended period of habitation at the site.

The artifacts show terracotta figures of horses, camels, and riders that people made and used in daily life. The decorated pottery with applied bands and fingertip patterns reveals the craftsmanship of these ancient communities.
