Lubin is a municipality in Lubin County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, southwestern Poland. The area spreads along the Zimnica River, surrounded by flat terrain and crossed by wide streets that link residential zones with industrial districts.
The discovery of large copper deposits in the late 1950s triggered rapid development, and mining facilities shaped the town from that point onward. Over the following decades the population grew and new housing blocks appeared around the industrial zones.
