Silesian Stadium, Football stadium in Silesian Park, Chorzów, Poland.

Silesian Stadium is a multi-purpose sports venue in Chorzów featuring a running track and covered seating areas for more than 54,000 spectators. The facility includes a modern polycarbonate roof sheltering a large portion of the stands, providing weather protection and clear views during events.

Construction began in 1951 during the era of the People's Republic of Poland, and the venue opened on July 22, 1956, with a football match between Poland and East Germany. The site developed over the decades into the region's most important sports complex and underwent several rebuilding and modernization phases.

The stadium serves as a home venue for the Polish national football team and regularly draws fans from across the country. The atmosphere during international matches combines sporting enthusiasm with national pride, as spectators often sing together and support the team with vocal energy.

The venue sits within Silesian Park and is easily reachable by public transport. Visitors with reduced mobility will find more than 100 accessible seats and suitable pathways to the stands.

In 1973, around 130,000 spectators gathered for the Speedway World Championship, marking the highest attendance ever recorded at the stadium. The motorcycle races drew significantly more people than most football matches at the time and shaped the venue's reputation as a versatile event space.
