Gdynia Aquarium, Public aquarium on South Pier, Gdynia, Poland
The aquarium exhibits 215 species across eight exhibition halls, including 142 fish species, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates from various water environments.
The facility started operations on June 21, 1971, after previous establishment attempts in the 1920s and 1930s under the Sea Fisheries Institute management.
The Marine Education Section includes a dedicated Preschool Room with marine toys and educational programs for children to learn about aquatic ecosystems.
The aquarium operates Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with seasonal ticket prices ranging from 36 to 42 PLN for adults.
Visitors can experience direct contact with marine life in the Wet Room, where open-top aquarium tanks allow hands-on interaction with fish.
