Dendrological Garden in Przelewice

The Dendrological Garden in Przelewice is a large park planted with hundreds of tree and shrub species from around the world. The grounds feature pathways through sections of conifers, deciduous trees, Japanese plantings, ponds, and streams.

The grounds were founded in the early 1800s by a German estate owner who commissioned an English-style landscape design. Over time it grew into a botanical collection point for rare tree specimens.

The garden reflects a German noble heritage and carries the influence of Prussian horticultural traditions that shaped the region. This historical connection remains visible in how the space is designed and planted today.

The gardens lie roughly an hour north of Szczecin and are easy to reach by car. Wear sturdy shoes, as the paths traverse varied terrain and some sections are unpaved.

An old white elm tree in the gardens is among the largest of its kind and shows the impressive size trees in this region can reach. Its massive branches and thick trunk are remarkable examples of age and growth.
