Osielsko, Administrative village in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland
Osielsko is a village in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship located roughly 9 kilometers northeast of Bydgoszcz. It serves as the administrative center of Gmina Osielsko in north-central Poland.
The earliest written records of Osielsko date back to 1065 during the reign of Bolesław IV. Over the following centuries, the area changed hands between Polish and Prussian rule multiple times.
The village contains four Roman Catholic parishes, including the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, which forms part of the Osielsko dekanat administrative district.
The village sits at an elevation of roughly 60 meters and features relatively flat terrain. Visitors can explore the area easily on foot since it offers level ground throughout.
Osielsko ranks among the wealthiest rural municipalities in its region, largely due to substantial income tax contributions from residents. This economic strength makes it a remarkable example of successful rural development.
