Gmina Łomża, Administrative district in Łomża County, Poland.

Gmina Łomża is a rural district covering roughly 207 square kilometers of farmland and open countryside in northeastern Poland, situated directly beside the city of Łomża. The municipality comprises numerous small villages spread across the flat landscape of the Podlaskie region.

The district was established in 1998 following major reforms of Poland's local government system, which created new administrative divisions across the Podlaskie Voivodeship. This reorganization reshaped how communities were governed and structured within the region.

The area consists of several villages where residents keep local traditions alive through yearly gatherings and seasonal celebrations. These customs shape how people in the communities interact and mark important moments in their shared calendar.

The flat terrain makes it easy to explore the villages by car or bicycle throughout the district. Local authorities can provide information about community programs and environmental initiatives underway in the area.

Within the district lies the archaeological site Góra Królowej Bony in Stara Łomża, a medieval monument that reveals layers of the region's past. The hilltop contains remnants that tell of settlement patterns and historical periods spanning centuries.
