Kwilcz

Kwilcz is an administrative village in Greater Poland in western Poland, situated roughly 15 kilometers east of Międzychód. It is connected to surrounding areas by National Road 24 and contains residential areas with structures from different periods.

The parish church of St. Michael the Archangel was built between 1766 and 1782, with its distinctive obelisk tower becoming a landmark in the village. The Kwilcz Palace complex was constructed in 1830, adding another layer to the settlement's history.

The village keeps agricultural traditions at the heart of its daily rhythms and landscape. Walking through it, you can see how farming practices still shape the community and its surroundings.

The village is accessible via National Road 24, making it reachable from nearby towns. Visitors should allow time to explore the main historical sites on foot through the local roads.

The Kwilcz Palace complex from 1830 includes a distillery built in 1872 alongside stables and a carriage house on its grounds. These outbuildings reveal how estates of that era managed their economic activities.
